What does the word 'entheogen' mean? What are 'entheogenic' plants?
The word entheogen comes from two Ancient Greek words: entheos and genesthai. Entheos translates into English as "full of the god, inspired, possessed." Genesthai means "to come into being." Therefore, an entheogen is a substance that causes a person to become inspired or to experience feelings of inspiration, often in a religious or spiritual manner. Entheogenic plants are plants that contain chemicals which "reveal the god within" (a person's inner divinity) when ingested.
What entheogens do you have experience with?
To date, I have experimented extensively with the so-called magic mushrooms (containing psilocybin), the salvia divinorum plant (containing a-salvinorin), mexican morning glory plant seeds (containing lysergic acid amine - LSA), the semi-synthetic substance lysergic acid diethylamide commonly known as LSD), amanita muscaria mushrooms (containing ibotenic acid which later gets converted to muscimol), peyote and san pedro cacti (containing mescaline), the cannabis plant (containing tetrahydrocannabinol - THC), and an ayahausca analogue made from mimosa hostilis root bark powder (containing dimethyltriptamine - DMT) and syrian rue (containing a monoamine oxidase inhibitor - MAOI).
What entheogens are or have been your favorites?
I have had amazing experiences while under the influence of all the above plants and substances. Most of my experiences have been positive but there have been a few scary 'trips' as well. However, my favorite entheogenic plants have always been psilocybin-containing mushrooms (psilocybe cubensis strains), salvia divinorum, and cannabis.
Do you sell entheogenic plants or substances? Do you sell seeds or spores that will allow me to grow my own entheogenic plants?
I do not sell any entheogenic plant or substance nor do I sell the seeds or spores of these plants. However, these items are readily obtainable on the internet with a bit of searching.
